Bettie Underwood Page (c.1911-2010)

Oct 12, 2010 - 06:52:31 pm CDT: ELON - Bettie Underwood Page, 99, of 1279 Underwood Rd. peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior with her daughter at her side Friday Oct. 8, 2010 at Alamance Health Care in Burlington. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at Camp Springs United Methodist Church and burial followed in the church cemetery.

A life-long resident of Caswell County, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Nora Gwynn Underwood and she had lived in the Camp Springs Community most of her life. Mrs. Page was a homemaker and a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the Ladies Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Felton Page; her step-son William Felton Page; her brother, Russell Underwood; four sisters, Rema Miles, Laura Wrenn, Eula Boone, and Onie Chrismon; and three step-brothers, J.B. Underwood, Robert Underwood, and Ed Underwood.

Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie P. Thompson of Elon; step-daughter-in-law, Nan Page of Elon; two grandchildren, Jennifer Livers (Jeff) of Mebane and Josh Thompson (Marsha) of Kernersville; two step-grandchildren, Willard Page (Debra) of Elon and Mark Page(Carol) of Salisbury; three great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, and five step-great great grandchildren.

The family saw friends from 7:00 till 9:00 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 10, 2010 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times were at the home of her daughter, Bonnie P. Thompson, 1075 Underwood Rd., Elon, NC 27244. Memorials may be made to: Camp Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Wilbert Page, 2060 Pagetown Rd., Elon, NC 27244.
